Pathways into a Swinburne University masters course
The Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) is designed for students who would like to undertake postgraduate studies at Swinburne but haven't met the University’s English language and/or academic entry requirements.
After completing this program, you'll be guaranteed entry into the first year of a masters degree at Swinburne.
We'll equip you with the skills necessary to succeed in postgraduate study in areas such as business administration, marketing, supply chain innovation and Information Technology.
Students completing a PQP qualify for entry into the following Swinburne University masters courses:

Entry requirements
Academic entry requirements
- Satisfactory completion of a 3 Year post-secondary qualification (After Australian equivalent Year 12 completion)
- There may also be specific academic entry requirements for each course. These can be found on the Swinburne University website.
English language entry requirements
- IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.5, OR
- Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes EAP5 Advanced with overall 65%, and all skills 60% or above, OR
- An equivalent qualification approved by Swinburne University
Study structure
To qualify for the PQP, students must successfully complete four non-award units comprising.
