Pathways into UniLink Diploma
Swinburne's UniLink Bridging Program is your pathway to a UniLink diploma if you don’t meet the entry requirements. You’ll build your knowledge in business, design or engineering while you gain the confidence to communicate at a tertiary level in Australia.
The Program is an alternative for international students that:
- Have completed a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12, but do not meet the entry requirements for a UniLink diploma
- Would like to transfer from another Australian education provider to a UniLink diploma, but don't meet the entry requirements
- Do not have the prerequisite subjects for design, engineering or science courses
The UniLink Bridging Program provides a pathway into the following UniLink diploma courses:

- UniLink Diploma of Engineering

Entry requirements
Academic entry requirements
Satisfactory completion of a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12.
English language entry requirements
- IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.5, OR
- Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes EAP5 Advanced with overall 65%, and all skills 60% or above, OR
- An equivalent qualification approved by Swinburne University
Study structure
To qualify for the UniLink Bridging Program, students must successfully complete 1 core unit and 3 elective units.

COM00003 Academic and Communication Skills B
Elective units (students choose 3 units based on their chosen UniLink diploma pathway)

- DDD0002 Design Fundamentals
- GRA0004 Drawing and Illustration
For UniLink Diplomas of Design and Engineering:
- MTH10011 General Mathematics
- DPD00001 Product Development, Design and Technology
